For large-scale restoration and landscaping projects requiring large quantities of native seeds and plants, we recommend contract growing with us to guarantee the desired quantity and delivery date for your project. All contract growing of native seed and live plants requires a 50% deposit to initiate the contract, with the remainder due upon delivery. Contract growing for seeds typically takes one growing season. Depending on the species, some seeds ripen as early as July, other seeds do not ripen until late fall. Live plants are generally ready for delivery within 4-8 months of the request, depending on the species. Most native seeds require a prolonged cold-moist pretreatment period of 30-90 days to break dormancy and germinate. Each species has its own unique timing and contract duration is timed accordingly. |
