For a small fee, we conduct detailed site assessments to evaluate the condition of existing native plants and the potential for their conversion, restoration, or enhancement.

We meet on-site with project managers and landowners to discuss the desired goals and realistic potential. We inspect and evaluate soils, moisture conditions, growing conditions, the presence of potentially invasive non-native plants, and other ecological factors. As part of the assessment, we provide a written habitat analysis along with native plant recommendations.

HABITATS' staff has training and professional experience in Botany, Plant Ecology, Forest Ecology, Soil Science, Wetland Science, Environmental Science, and Restoration Ecology. Together we have nearly four decades of experience providing habitat assessments, restoration, and management. We strive to provide complex scientific information in a user-friendly professional manner to assist our clients in making informed decisions about their projects.

ASSESSMENT FEES—For local small-scale projects within 25 miles and less than 2.5 acres, we charge $150. For distant and large-scale projects we charge our standard mileage and labor rates.
